Winston Gordon, 83, of Eaton, OH and Bellaire, MI, died Sept. 20, 2012, in Central Lake, MI. He was born Dec. 25, 1928, in New York City, NY, to James L. and Mary (Hartwell) Gordon. After proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army, 4th Infantry Division during the Korean War, Winston went on to get his master's degree in education. He taught many students over his 30 years in Dayton Public Schools. Once retired, he and his wife Shirley Ann (Lawson), moved north to Bellaire. They spent their summers there and he enjoyed fishing and playing golf. Gordon is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, his son Scott (Kathy) Gordon of Pittsburg, PA, daughter Susan Gordon of Rhinebeck, NY, and granddaughter Paige Leigh Lavender. A Memorial service will be held Sat. Dec. 8th at 1:30 p.m. at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Eaton, OH with Rev. Wayne Morrison officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name can be made to the 1st Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 125, Eaton, Ohio 45320.
