Wilmer Hyde

Wilmer F. Hyde, 72 of Central Lake, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, Sat. Oct. 19, 2013 at home. He was born Aug. 1, 1941, in Banks Twp., the son of Lee and Margarite (Welsh) Hyde. Wilmer proudly served in the United States Army. He worked pretripping trucks most of his life and lived in Pennsylvania for years. In 1994, after he could no longer work, he moved his family to Central Lake. Wilmer was a quiet man who would go out of his way to help anyone in need. He loved his family and cherished his time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing. On June 29, 1974, in Richfield, PA, he married Hazel E. Hatten who survives. He is also survived by his children Kathleen (Jim) Dixon of Madera, PA, Mark Hyde, Jason Hyde, Tessa Kopacki, Michael Hyde, Annette Brusse, grandchildren Evan Hyde, Lillie Brusse, Samuel Kopacki, Jaylyn Brusse, and Sabastian Kopacki all of Central Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. A memorial service will be held Wed. Oct. 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Central Lake with Pastor Gary Bekkering officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
