William Zear

William Benjamin Zear, aged 98, passed away quietly at Meadow Brook Medical Facility on July 21, 2010. His extended family would like to thank all of the good folks at Meadow Brook for the kind and compassionate care.

William was the last of the Zear family born in Amsterdam New York on September 1, 1911 to Antoinette and Benjamin Zear. His mother, father and sisters; Antoinette Trochleman and Maryanne Marek have welcomed him to his Heavenly Fathers arms.

Willie spent his adult life in Maywood Illinois working as a wielder before retiring to Bellaire in 1971 with his wife Lois and mother-in-law Mrs. Nebel. William enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing as often as he could and would often regale his nieces and nephews with slide show of his fishing excursions.

He will be missed by all that knew him ...

A Visitation will take place on Sat., July 24 from 4-8 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
