William E. "Bill" Moore

William “Bill” Moore, 75, of Central Lake, passed away on May 28, 2024 at his home.

   Bill was born on June 17, 1948, in Pontiac, MI, the son of Karl and Betty (Perry) Moore.

   He graduated from Central Lake High School in 1967, then proudly served in the U.S. Army during which time he earned several medals including the Bronze Star and Oak Leaf Cluster.

   He was a life member of the Central Lake VFW Post, now known as the AMVETS, the Central Lake 7^th Day Adventist Church.   He was employed with the Antrim County Road Commission for 34 years then went on to work with the Central Lake Village for several years following his retirement.

   Bill loved camping, motorcycle riding, mowing the lawn and most of all spending time with his family.

   On July 21, 1979, in West Branch, MI, he married Janice R. (Kern) who survives.    Also surviving are 4 children, Shawn Moore of Central Lake, Lauri (Tom) Allen of Caro, MI, step-son Tony (Marie) Dustin of Flint, step-daughter Diana (Korri) Fanger of NC, brother Jack Moore of Central Lake, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

   He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dennis and David Moore.

   Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with visitation from 12 noon until time of services.   Bevin Clayton will officiate.

   Burial with military honors will follow services in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake Township.
