William Dalton

William H. Dalton, age 80 of Mancelona, passed away on November 5, 2017 at Munson Medical Center.

He was born on November 30, 1936 in Mancelona to the late Charles "Evert" and Isa (Tipton) Dalton.

William served in the United States Army. He enjoyed spending his time watching sports especially the University of Michigan, dancing and playing music particularly the harmonica and guitar.

William is survived by his children, Randy (Patrisha) Dalton of Glendale Heights, IL, Bart Dalton of Wheeling, IL, Bonny Aldrich of Mancelona and Tonia Dalton of Murray, KY, special companion, Mabel Pintke of Mancelona, sister, Betty “Elaine” (Larry) Pressey of Spring Lake, MI, 5 grandchildren, Josh, Eli, Trisia, Nisa, Cody and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Aleen Dalton, second wife, Sally Dalton, sister Renee Barber and brothers, Russ Dalton and Ted Dalton.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with David Tucker officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery in Mancelona Twp. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Dementia Association.
