William "Billy" W. Lanning

William “Billy” W. Lanning, 38 of Mancelona, died Dec. 6, 2022 as the result of an automobile accident.  He was born Dec. 17, 1983 in Traverse City, the son of Dennis and Susan (Ecklund) Lanning.

   Billy was a hard worker and dedicated employee of Kalkaska Screw Products for the last 10 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, and coaching.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family.  Billy was a 2002 graduate of Mancelona High School.

   Surviving are his parents, fiancé Allison Haremski, children Noah William, Jacob James, Jonah Hayden, Nakoda Dennis, his brothers Dennis (Sarah) Lanning, David (Tori) Lanning, Brian (Wendy) Lanning, nieces and nephews Bradley, Blake, Katie, Ethan, Chloe, Izzy, and Jayden, great nieces and nephew Eli, Maeve, Delilah. 

   A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, December 9, at 1 p.m. at the Free Methodist Church with the family receiving friends from 12 Noon until the time of service.  Memorial contributions can be given to Allie and the boys.
