Wanda Fay Rushton

Wanda Fay (Stein) Rushton, born April 16, 1932 passed away peacefully on October 31, 2022 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

Wanda was born in Buckley, Michigan to Joseph and Crystal Stein.

On January 13, 1954 she married Max W Rushton of Leelanau County, MI in Grand Traverse County, Michigan.

Wanda was a resident of Mancelona since 1972 where she worked as a beautician at the shop that she and Max owned until she retired.

Wanda was an avid crafter, always crocheting something for loved family and friends.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Willard Stein, Yvonne Skellett, Jacquelin Myers, Thelma Sedlacek, Pauline Lee, Delvin Stein and Ida Morrison along with the love of her life Max.

Surviving is her only child Ronald (Nicole) Rushton of Traverse City, three grandchild Collin Rushton, Emily (Brad )Staley, Evan (Kristina) Rushton,  great grandchildren Mia, Emma, Lila and Owen, along with many nieces and nephews.

The memorial and burial for Wanda will be decided at a later date.

Arrangements have been handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
