Walter Crandall

Walter "Roger" Crandall, 77, of Bellaire, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 26th. He was born on November 27, 1937, and graduated high school in 1955. He served in the United States Army Reserves from 1956 to 1964, when he was honorably discharged. He married Linda (Butler) on September 8, 1957. Together they owned a business and retired in 1999. He was a busy man who always had something to do or somewhere to go. He also enjoyed traveling with his family. Recent trips to the U.P., Canada, Mexico, and Hawaii created wonderful memories. He loved to eat and rarely passed down a snack. Making homemade ice cream was a Christmas tradition he shared with his family. His famous "burnt chicken on the grill" will be missed. Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, and parents, Victor and Frederica (Jackson). Roger is survived by his children, Terri Richards, Kristin (Ron) Savoie, and Scott (Bonnie) Crandall; his favorite granddaughter, Becky (Tyler) Morris; and his favorite grandson Adam Crandall.
