Virginia F. Williams, 84, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016, at Georgia House in Charlevoix. She was born April 11, 1932, to Edward and Margaret (Geldhof) D'Hondt.
On January 19, 1952, Virginia married Charles L. Williams in Mount Clemens, and he preceded her in death on March 6, 2001.
Virginia enjoyed knitting and sewing, which she donated many of the blankets, booties and caps she knitted to maternity wards along with cancer pads to local hospitals.
She retired from Utica Community Schools food service.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Margaret A. (Gary S.) Ramsey of Charlevoix; son, Charles E. (Christine) Williams of Macomb; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Susan (Eric) Clark and daughter Reese; Jill (Adam) Kline and children, Tristen, Lillian, and Reagan; Diane (Mike) Krebs and children, Tyler, Brayden, Austin, and Katelyn; Brad (Beth) Ramsey and children, Merissa, Helena, Corbin, and Amelia; Amanda (Ray) Backers and children, Blake and Emily; sister, Sally Dupell. Virginia was preceded in death by her brother, Al D'Hondt.
Services will announced at a later date.
Inurnment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Mount Clemens
