Virginia Rusnell

Virginia "Ginny" Rusnell, 66, of Central Lake, passed away on May 29, 2017 at her home. Ginny was born on August 29, 1950, in Echo Township, MI, the daughter of Edmund "Hap" and Katheryn (Drake) Willson. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful, loving spouse, mother, grandmother and friend. She was truly a "Selfless" person, always giving to others and putting herself last. She worked with developmentally disabled people for many years and considered herself an advocate for all of them. Through all of her giving, she never expected anything in return except a smile and a hug. On October 28, 1983, in Pleasant Valley, she married Ricky Rusnell who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Brenda (Brian) Barton of Traverse City, Denise (Eric) Cline of Pinckney, MI, five grandchildren, Ethan, Capriana, Jared, Carson and Brianna as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Stephen Becker, two sisters, Vickie Willson, Pat LaBeau and her parents. Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 5, 2017 at noon at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Interment will follow in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake Township. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics Michigan, Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, MI, 48859.
