Virginia Mosley

Virginia Marie Mosley, 97, formerly of Bellaire, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Fox Run Senior Living Community in Novi, MI.  She was born on March 4, 1923 in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of John and Anna May (Musser) Ketchum.

On January 31, 1943, Virginia married Donald Mosley in Keokuk.  Together they raised three children.  After summering in Bellaire for thirty years, the two of them retired there permanently in 1989.  They cherished the time they were able to spend traveling through Europe and many other destinations enjoying the art and architecture that was unique to each location.

Virginia loved children, especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed reading to them and taking them to the library every chance she got.  She liked to read as well as do crossword puzzles, knit, go on walks, laugh, and watch movies (with popcorn in hand).  Virginia enjoyed her artistic side and it was reflected by her interest in fashion and her ability to sew.

Virginia is survived by her three children, Rebecca (William) Ingersoll of Canton, MI, Sally (Brian) Carlson of Troy, MI, and Donald (Sally) Mosley of Dearborn, MI, and five grandchildren, Andrew Ingersoll (Ramona DeRyan), Patrick Carlson, Thomas Carlson, Shannon Mosley, and Donald Mosley.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Mosley; her brother, William Ketchum, and her parents.

The family will hold a private graveside service at Lakeview Cemetery in Bellaire.
