Viola Merkle
Viola Arlene Merkle (Dodie) went to her heavenly home on November 5, 2023. She was born May 25, 1932, she was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, 3 sisters, and her husband Thomas. She is survived by her children Patrick Merkle (Donna)
of Colorado; Debra Crane (Bruce) of Bellaire, Denise Harris (Dale) of Georgia; Delores Gorter (David, deceased) of Lewiston; Tom Merkle (Ann) of Southgate, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Viola worked various jobs, including Munson Medical Center as a baker, office worker and her last job as a cashier at Village Market in Alden.
Viola served in the church, loved the Lord, and serving people.
Funeral Service will be held at the Alden United Methodist Church on Thursday November 9, 2023 at 12:00 noon, with visitation from11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at the Helena Township Cemetery in Alden, with luncheon following.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Alden United Methodist Church.
