Vera Musser

VERA M. MUSSER, 89, of Mancelona, died on February 4, 2010 at her son's home in Central Lake. Vera was born on July 16, 1920 in Mancelona, the daughter of William and Bernice (Hammond) Kiel. Vera was a lifelong resident of Mancelona. She was a member of TOPS since 1992 and enjoyed fishing, driving tractor, crocheting and spending time with her dogs. On February 10, 1938 in Kalkaska, she married Raymond Musser who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were a daughter Frances Marshall, 3 brothers, William, Darrell "Stub" and Elton Kiel, a sister Thelma Kiel-Root and her parents. Surviving are 3 children, Raymond Jr. (Priscilla) Musser of Traverse City, Dale (Iris) Musser of Central Lake, Sharon Harty of Mancelona, a sister Lois (Robert) Musser of Kalkaska, 16 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 8 at Eleven a.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral homes. Rev. Max Tracey will officiate. Visitation will take place on Sun. from 2-5 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the spring at Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
