V. Frank

V. Ferol Frank, 77, of Mancelona, died Friday, January 8, 2010 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI. She was born April 22, 1932, in Akron, Michigan the daughter of Guy A. and Mabel (Tahash) Cramer. Ferol owned and operated the Kountry Kitchen restaurant in Alden from 1976 until 1991. She has been the Helena Twp Clerk since 1996 and presently still was. Ferol loved animals and enjoyed 4-H as a child and teenager. She also enjoyed baking, sewing, and canning. On Dec. 29, 1989, in Kalkaska, she married Robert J. Frank who survives. She is also survived by her daughters Debra Merrifield of Mancelona and Penny Wagner of Alden, 14 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Tim, son Jeff, 1st husband Glenn Meiser, and her parents. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 10, 2010, at Three p.m. at the Alden United Methodist Church with Pastor Chuck Williams officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 9, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Interment will be held in the spring in Helena Twp. Cemetery, Alden.
