Twala Wolfe

TWALA V.WOLFE 67 of Central Lake Twp. died Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Munson Medical Center. She was born August 15, 1941 in Dugger, IN the daughter of Ralph and Renata (Jones) Wolfe. Twala owned and operated the Torch Crest store and restaurant in Torch Lake Village for many years. She was active in Torch Lake Twp. politics and a long time member of the Upper Torch Lake Association. Her greatest love became her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing bridge, painting, reading, traveling and all the people she encountered throughout her career. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son. Surviving are a daughter Sonia (Bill) Villines of Cincinnati, OH, grandchildren Maranda and Robert Monson, special friend Donald Stevens, brother Hilton Wolfe of Bellingham, WA, two sisters Charlotte (Arthur) Leinberger of Saginaw, Diana (Ion) Keefer of Freeland, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 6 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Harold Kruse officiating.
