Trudy Center

Trudy J. Center,  65, of Charlevoix, passed away on April 16, 2019 at her home.

Trudy was born on June 15, 1953, in Rogers City, MI, the daughter of Neil and Ruth (Pomranko) Whitsitt.

Trudy was a very strong willed woman with a very good business mind.  She owned and operated “Center Salon” in Petoskey for over 40 years and “Then and Now” furniture resale store also in Petoskey.

She enjoyed decorating her home, spending time on the beach and loved animals, especially dogs and cats.

On September 24, 1983, in Millersburg, MI, she married Charles D. Center who survives.  Also surviving are a brother Jeff (Colleen) Whitsitt of Millersburg, MI, step-daughter Marci (William) Alexander of Madison, WI, and step-granddaughter Lackland.

She was preceded in death by a brother Roger Whitsitt, her parents and a step-son Britt Center.

Visitation will take place on Friday, April 19 from 5-8 p.m. at the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.

Memorial services will take place on Saturday, April 20 at 12 noon at the Community Reformed Church in Charlevoix with Pastor Chip Sauer officiating.
