Thelma “Lucille” Himebauch, age 94, of Charlevoix passed away on March 11, 2018 at Charlevoix Area Hospital.

Lucille was born on October 4, 1923 in Marion Township to the late Henry and Nellie (DeYoung) Potter.

Lucille was a member of Barnard United Methodist Church, Barnard United Methodist Women, Barnard Grange and cooked for the Charlevoix Area Senior Center. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and bird watching. On Monday’s you would find her taking delight in her coffee hour with good friends. Lucille was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. Her family and church were the most important aspects of her life.

Lucille is survived by her children, Emily Stanek of East Jordan, Susan (Norm) Starr of Charlevoix, Gordon (Marcia) Himebauch of Charlevoix, Nate (Neva) Himebauch of Charlevoix, Dan (Sara) Himebauch of Fairbanks, AK, Jerry (Donna) Himebauch of North Pole, AK, Dale (JoAnne) Himebauch of Fairbanks, AK, Sharon (Tim) Coen of Charlevoix; 20 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 27 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Himebauch, infant baby, 3 granddaughters, Tammy Himebauch, Debra Jo Hinton, Infant Baby Himebauch, 5 siblings and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Barnard United Methodist Church with Pastor Craig Pahl officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church. Visitation will also be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Charlevoix Area Hospital for their kindness during her final days.
