Thelma B. Nalett,  97, of Pelzer, SC, formerly of Mancelona, passed away in Anderson, SC, on July 25, 2020.

Thelma was born on March 27, 1923 in Mancelona, the daughter of William and Louise (Wildfong) Doerr.

She was a longtime Mancelona Village Clerk and was a member of the VFW as well as the DAV (Disabled American Veterans).

She was also instrumental in building the DAV memorial south of Mancelona years ago.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Sally Miller (David Langdale) of Pelzer, SC, Sue (Bill) Ferguson of Williamsburg, MI, 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Thelma was preceded in death by her first husband James Hamblin, second husband Harvey Nalett, a son Thomas Hamblin,  a great-granddaughter Samantha Tobias, 3 siblings,  as well as her parents.

Graveside services will take place on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.  Visitation will also be at the cemetery from 12 noon until time of services at the grave.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.

Arrangements are being handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
