Sylvia K. Lewis, 75, of Bellaire, passed away on December 26, 2013 at her home. Sylvia was born on October 10, 1938, in Detroit, the daughter of Milton and Elfrieda (Schultz) Semrau. Sylvia was a longtime Bellaire resident and was a member of the Bellaire Community United Methodist Church as well as the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, birds, bowling, scrabble, crossword puzzles, loved animals, especially dogs. She was a very caring and giving person who was loved by many. She worked for 10 years with her friend Carol Boros for the Antrim County Commission on Aging, Meals on Wheels. On October 29, 1981, she married Sam Lewis who survives. Also surviving are her children, Robert Wm., McCutcheon III (Patty) of Traverse City, Amy Jo (McCutcheon) Roote (Tim) of Rutherfordton, N.C., step-children, Sherri (Lewis) Huotari (Marty) of Mancelona, and Gail (Lewis) Thompson (Bill) of Gatesville, N.C., a sister MaryLou (Loren) Drury, of Wooster, OH, brother-in-law Jack Crawford of Bellaire, and was G.G. to 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and had many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Natalie Crawford No services are planned. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Antrim County Commission on Aging, Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 614, Bellaire, MI., 49615.
