Susan Smith

Susan M. Smith, 64, of Alba, passed away on December 3, 2014 at McLaren Northern Michigan Regional Hospital. Susan was born on August 16, 1950, in Newberry, MI, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Allen) Mills. Susan was a kind hearted person who helped anyone at any time. She was a very good friend to many and spent many hours "listening" to anyone in need of an ear. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, cooking but most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by a daughter Kristina (John) Cooper of Midland, MI, a son Keith Franklin (Heather) Smith of Temperance, MI, 5 grandchildren, Liam and Coral Cooper and Andrew, Kayla and Tyler Smith, a brother Mike (Pam) Mills of Newberry, three sisters, Cindy Cords of Rudyard, JoAnn Burton of Newberry, MI, Lisa (Pat) Lee of Rudyard as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar in 2009 and her parents. There will be a "Remembrance Gathering" for both Susan and Edgar on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at a place to be determined at a later date.
