Steven Pitawanakwat

Steven David John Pitawanakwat, 20, of Rapid City, passed away on November 13, 2016. Steven was born on December 23, 1995, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, the son of Peter and Darlene Pitawanakwat. Steven was employed by the Village Market in Elk Rapids and enjoyed playing guitar, recording music, playing hockey, Xbox, and skateboarding. He is survived by his mother Darlene Ann-Theresa Pitawanakwat of Rapid City, three brothers, Dale (Misty) Pitawanakwat of Rapid City, Absy Bluff of Canada, P.J. Bluff of Canada, three sisters, Diana Pitawanakwat of Grand Rapids, Cherrelle (Manny Aldana) Pitawanakwat of Grand Rapids, Cheryl Bluff of Canada as well as 6 nephews and 2 nieces. He was preceded in death by his father Peter, aunt Elaine, uncle Martin and a cousin Shannon. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 15 in the late evening hours at the Kewadin Indian Mission Church. Funeral services with burial will take place in Canada.
