STEVEN G. BURNS, 56, of Central Lake, passed away on March 7, 2013 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. Steve was born on September 28, 1956, in Highland Park, MI., the son of Robert and Janet (Priestly) Burns. Steve resided in Central Lake for many years and owned and operated "Full Spectrum Painting". As a young man, Steve enjoyed baseball as well as boy Scouts. He later drove a cement mixer in California for 15 years and was a groomer at the Snobowl Resort in Flagstaff, AZ. Steve was full of life and enjoyed spending time with his many friends and most of all his beloved dog "Whylee". He is survived by his parents, Robert and Janet Burns of Mesa, AZ., a brother Dale Burns of Dearborn, aunt JoAnn (Fred) Schenck of California, uncle Melvin Priestly of California, aunt Beverly Johns of West Bloomfield, 3 cousins, Eve Priestly of California, Cindy Johns of Pinkney, Tom Johns of West Bloomfield as well as many friends. Steve's family would like to extend a special thank you to Ray and Deb Hall as well as Jackie Rice for all their love and support throughout the last months of his life. There will be no formal service for Steve. He will be buried privately in the spring at Bayview Cemetery in Central Lake Township on M-88 between Central Lake and Eastport. Memorial contributions may be made to Munson Healthcare (Hospice), Regional Foundation, Paul Oliver Foundation, 210 Beaumont Place, Traverse City, MI., 49684.
