Steven Bogardus

Steven C. Bogardus, age 64 of Charlevoix passed away on August 9, 2017 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey. Steve was born on May 17, 1953 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Robert and Ruth (Hopp) Bogardus.

Steve is survived by his wife, Jamie (Klaassen) Bogardus of Charlevoix, mother, Ruth Bogardus of Munith, MI, brother, Rob (Noel) Bogardus of Saline, MI, sister, Sue (Bill) Parraghi of Jackson, MI, brother, Doug Bogardus of Munith, MI,  sister-in-law, Linda (Rick) Wells of Harrison Twp., MI, brothers-in-law, Howard (Karen) Klaassen of Farmington Hills, MI, Kerry (Kathy) Klaassen of Hudson, MI along with many nieces and nephews who he truly loved. He is also survived by his best friend and loyal companion, Beau.

Steve and Jamie both married the love of their lives on July 14, 1990 in Belleville, MI. He will be greatly missed by his many family and friends especially Jamie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bogardus and niece, Danielle.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Electrical Workers Local Union 252, 7920 Jackson Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48103 (also known as Plumbers and Pipe Fitter Local Union 190 and Naturopathic and Healing Arts Center). Jamie would like to request that anyone joining them for the memorial service to bring their favorite photo of Steve.

Arrangements are being handled by the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
