Shirley (Patton, Wolgamott) Warner, 71 of Kewadin died Mon. May 30, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 10, 1940, in Central Lake, the daughter of Clarence and Lovena(DeForest) Patton. Shirley lived most of her life in Central Lake. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening and painting. She also loved to shop on QVC. Shirley worked at the Village Market in Elk Rapids for 30 years. On Jan. 1, 2000 she married Keith Warner, who survives. She is also survived by her children Monna (Mark ) Youmans of Germany, Vicki MacMaster of Williamsburg, Steve (Shelley) Wolgamott of Grand Rapids, Jodi (Jason) Clark of Ada, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren with one on the way, brother Dave (Maureen) Patton of Central Lake, Mable Watkins of Central Lake, Vera Gordon of Central Lake, Wanda (Bub) Wolgamott of Central Lake, and Mary Lort of Phoenix, AZ. Shirley was preceded in death by her 1st husband John in 1983, her parents, her siblings Waneta Wilks, Agnes Asquith, Dick Patton and Jack Patton. Graveside services will be held Sat. June 4, at 10:30 a.m. at Southern Cemetery, Central Lake, with Pastor Harold Kruse officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Central Lake Governmental Center. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have been handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
