Shirley Grannis

Shirley Jean (Miller) Grannis, 90, of Bellaire passed away on February 23, 2018.

Shirley was born in Mancelona on March 19, 1927 to the late Charles J. and Juliaetta (Emerson) Miller.

She enjoyed crocheting, reading especially Chicken Soup for the Soul, country music, she was very fussy about keeping her house clean.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Pat Theobald of Bellaire, Vickie (Bill) McKay, son, Don (Lisa) Grannis and many many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

On January 10, 1948 in Bellaire she married Donald L. Grannis who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, Emerson Miller, Marvin (Janice) Miller, Charles (Joyce) Miller, D.B. Miller, Richard (Sylvia) Miller, Thomas (Delores) Miller, 5 sisters, Charlotte (Jim) Elliott, Lucille (John) Miller, Maxine (Raymond) Sommers, Marjorie (Sam) Moore, Blanch (Richard) Potrafke and son-in-law, Kelley Theobald.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday May 19, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery in Custer Twp. Immediately following the services there will be a luncheon at the family farm on Comfort Road.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Central Lake 1st Congregational Church or the Central Lake Community Food Pantry.
