Shelley Esaak

Shelley Elizabeth Esaak, 65, of Central Lake, passed away on May 16, 2024. She was born on October 11, 1958, in Ann Arbor, the daughter of James and Maxine (Goss) Shepard.

Shelley attended East Kentwood high school in her early days, and excelled in track as a sprinter. After graduation in 1976, she would attend Hope College, Kendall School of Design, and the University of Michigan for graphic design and art. She was a very skilled artist and was interested in art history. She maintained art history on About.com for a decade and a half. Shelley was a genuine, sharp, and bright person. Shelley loved life, her family and friends, laughter, and good music.

Shelley is survived by her loving husband, Ward, three children, David Esaak of Central Lake, Margaret Esaak of St. Paul MN, Steven Esaak of Central Lake, her mother Maxine Shepard of Caledonia, one sister Sheila Symborski of Essexville, two brothers, Scott Shepard of Caledonia, Steve Shepard of Charlotte. Sisters and brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
