Sharon Lee Potere (Sukie Blanchard), 87, of Rochester, MI; West Palm Beach, FL; and Central Lake, MI passed away June 1, 2024.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert Ferrell Potere; daughters: Kimberlee (Kevin) Falahee, Monica (Stephen, deceased) Jones, Jennifer (Arnold, II) Taylor; grandchildren: Andrew (Jessica) Falahee, Joshua (Betsy) Pruett, Brittany (F. Albert, IV) Parent, Zachary (Shannon) Taylor, Dean Taylor, 4 great-grandchildren, & her beloved dog, Buddy.
Sharon met the love of her life in high school, marrying Aug. 2, 1958, after earning her nursing degree. She worked for The Haven in Rochester, followed by work at the Pontiac State Hospital, & then for Dr’s Dayton & Siffering in Rochester.
As their family grew, Sharon chose to leave nursing to raise their family in a loving, supportive home. She lived and loved life to the fullest and was a kind, loyal friend to many. She supported her girls in all their endeavors, never missing a performance or event…a true role model. If you knew her, you knew someone you could trust.
After fighting various health issues, Sharon found peace & has gone home to be with our Lord, to dance with the angels. The family will honor her wishes through cremation and a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to “Leader Dogs for the Blind” at www.leaderdog.org.
