Segna Sanford

Segna C. Sanford, 99 of Williamsburg died Monday evening, November 17, 2008 at Kalkaska Memorial Long Term Care. She was a homemaker and mother of 3 children. She was born November 22, 1908 to Alex and Mary (Littlecola) Polander in Echo Twp. On May 2, 1927 in East Jordon she married Francis Sanford. They lived in Bellaire for several years before moving to Williamsburg. They were married for 65 years. Segna is survived by her two sons, Burton of Scottsdale, AZ, and Harold (Alice) of Williamsburg and one daughter Mrs. Lloyd (Vivian) Birdsey of Williamsburg. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Segna was proceded in death by her husband Francis, her parents, two sisters Edith and Hazel, and two brothers John and Vano. The family will receive friends on Friday November 21 from 4-8 pm at Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 22 at 11:00 am with Pastor Max Tracey officiating. Interment will be in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake.
