Scott Tracey

SCOTT L. TRACEY, 30, of of Alden, passed away on May 3, 2011 at Munson Medical Center. Scott was born on May 10, 1980, the son of Gary and Sandra (Dixon) Tracey. Scott was a lifelong resident of Alden where he was a firefighter since 1998 , was currently the Captain of the South Torch Lake Fire Department and worked as an EMT for the City Elk Rapids. He enjoyed scuba diving but more importantly spending time with his family and especially his children. On May 8, 2004, in Alden, he married Mindy L. Nash who survives. Also surviving are 4 children, Heidi Tracey of Mancelona, Kimberly Nash, Kiana Tracey and Kristen Tracey all of Kewadin, two brothers, William (Kim) Tracey of Virginia Beach, VA., Gary (Samantha) Tracey of Kingsley, his parents, Gary and Sandra Tracey, his paternal grandfather Virgil Tracey of South Boardman. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandmother. Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic church in Bellaire. Pastor Dave McCarthy will officiate. Interment will follow in Helena Township Cemetery in Alden. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
