Sandra Lynn Schrader, 74, of Central Lake, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2024, at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey. She was born on August 12, 1950, in Wayne, MI, the daughter of Victor and Betty (Teter) Kaercher.
Sandra graduated from Wayne Memorial High School, and moved to Northern Michigan over 50 years ago, spending the last 20 years in Central Lake. She worked many jobs over the years including running a daycare, working at several area nursing homes, managing Spicy Bob’s in East Jordan, and several others. She was always the life of the party – even if there wasn’t a party. Sandra enjoyed dancing any chance she got, and especially busting a move at the bowling alley in Boyne City. She was also known to enjoy an ice cold tall boy Bud Light.
Sandra is survived by her five children, Michelle (Doug) Schneider of Traverse City, Robert (Rachel) Schrader of Traverse City, Tammy Schrader (John Wolgamott) of Central Lake, Mike (Jennifer) Schrader of South Boardman, and Jerry (Cindy) Schrader of Cedar Hill, TN; eleven grandchildren, Shawn (Kellie), Nicholas (Grace), Chloe, Hailey, Robbie, Mason, Chelsea (Lydia), Jacob, Katelynn (Spencer), Jay, and Brandy; four great-grandchildren, Liam, Matthew, Jackson, and Braxton; and her ex-husband, Jerry Schrader.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Shawn Antine; and her brother, Robert Kaercher.
Sandra’s family has chosen to celebrate her life privately.
