Sandra Loper

Sandra L. Loper,  68, of Charlevoix, passed away on August 22, 2021 at her home.

Sandy was born on November 26, 1952, in Mt. Clemens, MI, the daughter of William and Edith (Fischer) Cadieux.

Her life was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren.   She was employed at Charlevoix Area Hospital for 35 years and loved gardening, tending to her flower beds, and camping.   She also was a long-time attendee of the Ellsworth Wesleyan Church.

On July 17, 1982, in Charlevoix, she married Barry W. Loper who survives.   Also surviving are 4 children, Dawn (Troy) Swegles of Huntsville, AL, Barry Loper II of Charlevoix, Douglas (Samantha) Benoit of Jacksonville, FL, Travis (Joy) Benoit of Pickens, SC, 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Fay VanLoo of Charlevoix, Sharon Rogers of Clinton Twp, MI, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jerry and Don Cadieux, a sister Carol Hartley and her parents.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 28, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ellsworth Wesleyan Church with Pastor Chris Wallace officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.

Burial will be private in the Ellsworth Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
