Samuel Guy

Samuel E. Guy, 75 of Bellaire, passed away Tues. July 30, 2013, at home. He was born to Robert and Pauline (McDonald) Guy on May 10, 1938. Sam worked for Apfel Construction for over 20 years. Then he built several homes on Cedar Meadows Subdivision. Sam enjoyed all sports, especially playing softball with M-Guy Builders. He loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren. The greatest gift that Sam received in his life was his faith and belief in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Sam was a long time member of Bellaire Wesleyan Church. He is survived by his loving wife Virginia of 54 years, children Alan (Sheryl) Guy of Bellaire, Todd (Lisa) Guy of Marion, IN, Craig Guy of Oakland Park, FL, Susan Guy of Beecher, Ill, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; 4 brothers and sisters Tom, Pam, MaryAnn,and Gerald, a brother in law and sister in law Maurice and Carol Guy, many special nieces and nephews, many Bellaire friends and the friends they made in Florida for 11 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sandy. Visitation will be held Thur. Aug. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be Fri. Aug. 2, at 11 a.m. at the Bellaire Wesleyan Church. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire.
