Sally Evans

Sally A. Evans, 81, of Ellsworth died Saturday, January 9, 2016 at McLaren Oakland in Pontiac.

She was born October 24, 1934 in Grand Haven, Michigan to Arthur and Alma (Bruder) Brasgalla.

She married Gerald E. Evans on May 11, 1954 in Essexville, Michigan. They lived in Detroit and moved to Ellsworth in 1966.

She enjoyed being a follower of Jesus, being a Mama and Grandma, gardening, being around animals, drawing, painting, applique, needlepoint, puzzle books, reading, making cloth dolls, and cooking.

Surviving are her husband Gerald; children Ann (Paul) Heusted of Atlas, Michigan, and Ernie (Jackie) Evans of Ellsworth; grandson Paul Evans of Ellsworth; sister Betty Ingle of Hampton, Virginia.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 12 at 1 p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home with the Rev. Celia M. Hastings and the Rev. Ann Heusted officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Mancelona.
