Sally Elizabeth Brunette passed away peacefully on February 6, 2018 at the age of 91. Born on March 27, 1926 in California to Earl and Madeleine Schavey. Sally graduated from Grand Ledge High School and later attended Michigan State University.
Sally spent most of her life in Grand Ledge, Michigan, later moving to Fort Myers, Florida. Sally returned to Grand Ledge briefly, then moved to Spring Hill, Tennessee to be near her son’s family. She returned to Kalkaska, Michigan with them. She enjoyed music and had a beautiful singing voice. She also enjoyed her books, bird watching, and classic films.
Sally is survived by her children Pamela (Thomas) Parks of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, Lori Brunette of Novato, California and Brian (Shelly) Brunette of Kalkaska, Michigan. She is also survived by grandchildren Kiley Jo Baldwin (Kael) and Cody Brunette and two great grandchildren, Arianna Brunette and Phoebe Baldwin.
She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Madeleine Schavey of Grand Ledge, Michigan and late husband, Colonel Howard Brunette also of Grand Ledge.
A private ceremony of her life has been arranged by her immediate family at a later time in the year and interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Mancelona.
