Sally Jean (Chapman) Augspurger peacefully passed away August 1, 2012. Sally was born July 1, 1935 in Cincinnati, Ohio and lived in Terrace Park, Ohio from birth through 1995. She graduated from Terrace Park High School in 1953 and enjoyed lifelong friendships with classmates. In January 1954 Sally married Ches Augspurger (her high school sweetheart) and enjoyed a wonderful marriage with her best friend. In 1995, Ches and Sally moved to Central Lake, Michigan and lived there until present. Sally was a devoted Christian and a lifelong member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Terrace Park. Sally did volunteer work for the elderly throughout her life both at hospitals and nursing homes. Further, she enjoyed many hobbies including power walking, scrap booking, sewing, fishing, and bridge club. Sally was the third of three children born to James L. and Mary L. Chapman. She is survived by her siblings James and Nancy Chapman, her husband Ches, her 4 children (Kirk, Andy, and John Augspurger, and Amy Sandmann), 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Terrace Park, Ohio on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. Local Memorial Services will be held Friday, August 17, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church in Charlevoix, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati, Munson Hospice, or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have been handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
