Ruth Simms

RUTH M. SIMMS, 87, of Bellaire, passed away on February 28, 2013 at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey. Ruth was born on October 23, 1925 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of William and Edith (Foster) Brown. Ruth enjoyed gardening, feeding her animals, going to church, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan as well as Jake Slater the "Elvis" impersonator from Bellaire. She is survived by a daughter Kim (Tom) Yuill of Bellaire, 2 grandchildren, Frank (Jenny) Moore of Gaylord, Scott (Samantha) Stefanko of Gaylord, 6 great-grandchldren, Keagan, Kyle, Kameron, Chelsea, Kwintyn and Seth as well as several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 sisters and a brother. Memorial services will take place on Saturday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. at the Berean Bible Church in Topinabee. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berean Bible Church, 1764 Mail Route Rd., Topinabee, MI., 49791 or to any Humane Society of the donor's choice.
