RUTH ANN COON

Ruth Ann Coon, 54 of 177 W. Adams St., Cochranton, PA, died Wednesday June 16, 2010 at her residence. Born July 23, 1955 in Manistique, Michigan, she was the daughter of William H. and Mabel L. LaPratt North. She married Robert Coon on December 31, 1970, he survives.

She worked at the Morco Co. in Cochranton but was mainly a homemaker.

She a very active member of the Saegertown Gospel Tabernacle Church and loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Sheila Purpura, Christopher Coon and his wife Rhonda, Charles Coon and his wife Felicia and Jessica Sickles and her husband Robert, all of Cochranton. Three sisters Mary Spires of Cochranton, Betty Olds and her husband Jason and Edith Allen of Alba, Michigan. Three brothers William North and Floyd North and his wife Robin of Mancelona, Michigan and Clyde North and his wife Tammy of Alba, Michigan. Nine grandchildren, Joseph and Marra Coon, Dakota Bailey, Rebecca Coon, Christopher Coon Jr., Kayleigh and Kyndra Winger and Owen Sickles. She is also survived by her father and several nieces and nephews and two step sons Robert Franklyn of Alexandria Virginia and Paul Coon of Grayling, Michigan and a caregiver and best friend Lorna Graham.

She was preceded in death by her mother, a sister Carol Darby and a greatgrandson Cameron Coon.

Friends may call at the Dickson Family Funeral Home, Inc. 123 S. Franklin St. Cochranton on Friday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Funeral services will be 7:00pm on Friday from the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Villars of the Saegertown Gospel Tabernacle Church, officiating.

Additional calling hours will be at the Mortensen Funeral Home, 205 w. State St. Mancelona, Michigan on Monday, June 21, from 10:00am until 2:00pm with a funeral service to begin at 2:00pm. Rev. Gerald Cook officiating. Interment will be in Star Township Cemetery, Alba, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family at either funeral home listed.
