Ruby Collins

Ruby Mae Collins, 94, of Mancelona passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire. She was born on July 3, 1926 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the daughter of Paul and Anna (Schoenrock) Morrison.

Ruby enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and travelling. The Christmas candies and cookies she baked were greatly anticipated each holiday season. She enjoyed many trips to California visiting Jeff & Sandi and the girls, traveling to the Black Hills with her brother Kenny and Joanne, and enjoyed the trips with her sister-in-law Pearl to Ireland and Europe. Her trips to the casinos with Helen Mosey and Nancy were always enjoyable. Playing Bingo, Bunco and Yahtzee with Aunt Louise and friends was also very special to her. Spending time with her very good friend Lena was also very special to her. She loved feeding and watching her Orioles. She loved spending time with her family when she was able.

Ruby is survived by three children, Larry (Ila) Collins of St. Louis, MI, Allen (Carol) Collins of Bay City, MI, and Jeffrey (Sandra) Collins of St. Louis, MI, daughter-in-law Janet (Larry) Rystak of Bellaire; her sister, Audrey Missour of Beloit, WI; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 23 great great grand children

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Anna Morrison; two children, Paul Collins and Nancy Eames; four sisters, Barbara Brown, Pauline Morrison, Ruth Hazen, and Rose Johnson; and two brothers, Kenneth Morrison and Robert Morrison.

A special thanks to the staff of Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility and Hospice. Your care for our mother was unparalleled.

A memorial service will be held Saturday October 24th for immediate family only due to COVID-19. A memorial service is being planned for July 2021
