Roy Trowbridge

ROY R. TROWBRIDGE, 66, of Bellaire, died on August 13, 2010 at his home. Roy was born on July 31, 1944, in Mancelona, the son of Charles and Dora Delphia (Sparks) Trowbridge. Roy loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking in his shop, and loved his roses and gardening. Roy was employed for Barney Barber for 40 years where he did concrete work. Roy was always first to give a helping hand to anyone in need, whether he knew them or not. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cindy Sue (Sheppard) Trowbridge of Bellaire. Also surviving are 5 children, Eric (Amanda Sadler) Trowbridge of Tampa, Fla., Crystal (Michael Hodge) Trowbridge of Laurium, MI., Dan (Diane) Trowbridge of East Jordan, Mike (Tami Hibbler) Trowbridge of Indian River, Karen (Chris) Pardee of Ellsworth, grandchildren, Randy, Katana, Katrinna, Michael Jr., Amanda, Angela, Noah, Lisa, Michael II, Anne-Marie, Christian, Joshua, siblings, Devier (Marilyn Harding) Trowbridge of Bellaire, Trudy (Bert) Knipe of Grayling, Marlene (Gary) Vajda of Bellaire, Marvin (Irene) Trowbridge of Bellaire, Art (Lucinda) Trowbridge of Bellaire, Arthella Trowbridge of Bellaire, Ruby Miller of River Rouge, Melvina (Raymond) Amble of Newberry, Lamoine Patterson of Beulah, father and mother in law ArVe and Temperance Sheppard of Zephyrhills, Fla., Brother-in-law ArVe Sheppard of Echo Twp., special friends and caregivers Ray and Rachael Werbicki. As well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dora Delphia, a son, baby Roy Trowbridge Jr., Granddaughter Matya Trowbridge, niece Amy Sheppard, sisters Arvella Anderson, Vida Dunson, brother-in-laws, Randy Sheppard, Bill Patterson, Richard Miller and Art Anderson. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 17 at 4:00 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.
