Roxanne Folsom, 52 of East Jordan, died peacefully May 22, 2018, at home.
She was born May 5, 1966, in Charlevoix, the daughter of Timothy and Myra (James) Hoffman.
Roxanne was a kind-hearted, selfless person who put others first. She was a dedicated employee, working tirelessly to create the best female body armor. She traveled the country for Survival Armor in Ft. Myer’s, Fla., to help protect and save others.
She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, looking after her dog, Benjamin, camping with her best friends, Van and Ann Dunson, feeding the deer and watching the birds.
On December 14, 1985, in East Jordan, she married D. Lee Folsom, who survives. She is also survived by her sons Brandon Folsom of Gaylord, Adam Folsom of East Jordan, her mother Myra Hoffman of Ellsworth, brothers Tim (Marcia) Hoffman of Ellsworth, Rich (Deb) Hoffman of East Jordan, John (Beth Scott) Hoffman of East Jordan, and grandsons, Mason, Noah and Waylon Folsom of East Jordan. She was preceded in death by her father, Timothy Hoffman.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, at Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church with Pastor Dave Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Echo Township's Dunsmore Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
