Rosa Violet Klooster, 85, of Eastport died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Eastport Village Care Home.
She was born July 13, 1928 in Bay City to Walter and Josephine (Clark) Ross.
On September 20, 1947 she married Henry E. ‘Bud’ Klooster in Norwood. They lived in Norwood, moving to Eastport in 1974. Henry died in 2012.
Rosa was a member of the Eastport Baptist Church. She enjoyed visiting with friends and knitting.
Surviving are her daughters Linda (Everett) Ingalls of Ellsworth, Shelly Dorland of Kewadin, daughter-in-law Patti Klooster of Central Lake; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry E. ‘Bud’ Klooster, sons Gary Klooster, Edwin ‘Mike’ Klooster, and Rev. Gerald Klooster, sister Amelia Willette, brothers Henry Ross and Elmer Ross.
Friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home in Ellsworth on Friday, March 21, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Eastport Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Troyer officiating. Burial will be in Norwood Cemetery.
