Ronnie Watkins

Ronnie Lee Watkins, 56 of Mancelona passed away October 25, 2014. Ron was born February 17, 1958, son of Dale and Pat Watkins. Ron had worked at Dura Automotive for about 5 years as well as Steel Tank. Ron lived in Mancelona all of his life. He loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed collecting die cast cars and semi-trucks. Ron had a big heart and a smile on his face. He is survived by his daughter Deiga Watkins, siblings Karen (Jim) D'Water of Fife Lake, Rick Watkins of Mancelona, Kelly (Randy) Sexton of Mancelona; his favorite Sister-in-Law Nancy Watkins and several Nieces and Nephews. Ron had many great friends and was loved by all. He had several angles taking care of him during his illness. He was preceded in death by his son Eric Watkins, parents Dale and Pat Watkins and Niece Ashley Sexton. A memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Mancelona Free Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Watkins family through Mortensen Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 307, Mancelona, MI 49659.
