Ronald Zednicek

Ronald Frank Zednicek, 80, of Charlevoix, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 at
his home. He was born on May 6, 1941, in Saginaw, the son of Frank and Emma
(Weitz) Zednicek.
Ronald graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw and then went on to
obtain an Associates Degree from Delta College. He eventually moved north to
Petoskey where he owned and operated Emmet Automotive for many years.
Ronald was a car enthusiast through and through. He loved working on cars –
particularly his 1932 Ford Highboy – just as much as he enjoyed drag racing all
over southern Michigan.
Ronald is survived by two sons, Michael (Gail) Zednicek of Petoskey and Jeffrey
(Dee) Zednicek of Petoskey; three grandchildren, Jennifer Zednicek, Jessica
Zednicek, and Savanah (John) Cool; and one great-grandchild Keely Cool.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ronald will be laid to rest with his parents at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum in
Saginaw. There are no services planned at this time.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan or St. Jude
Children’s Hospital.
