Ronald Crandall

RONALD V. CRANDALL 63, Wolverine, passed away on Sun., June 29, 2008 at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey. Ron was born on Nov. 19, 1944 in Bellaire, the son of Victor and Frederica (Jackson) Crandall. Ron was employed as a sergeant for the Antrim County Sheriff's Department for 17 years and then went on to work for the Pioneer State Mutual Insurance Company for 26 years. He enjoyed fishing and morel mushroom hunting. On Sept. 30, 1991 in Munising, MI., he married Carol A. Keckler who survives. Also surviving is his mother Frederica,his 5 children, Pamela (Craig) Coffey of Oakley, MI., Amanda (Eric) Philson of Mercer, Penn., Bruce (Wendy) Chaney of Cadillac, Melisa Krogel of Grand Junction, MI., Kristina Crandall of Wolverine, 3 brothers, Bob (Helen) Crandall of Caledonia, Roger (Linda) Crandall of Bellaire, Dean Crandall of Bellaire, 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Victor Crandall, a son Kevin Chaney, and a grandson Joshua Philson. Funeral services will take place on Thur., July 3, 2008 at One p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Raymond Parent officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crippled Children's Fund in Grand Rapids.
