Ronald D. Rule, 69, of Bellaire, died peacefully Sat. June 2, 2012 with his daughter at his side, at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. Ron graduated from Waterford High School in 1960. He graduated from General Motors Institution in 1966 and was a proud fraternity brother at Sigma Nu. He went to work at Pontiac Motors and then to Hudson's, in downtown Detroit, corporate office for data processing. He married Claire Campbell in 1981, and then they moved to California for him to work at Kaiser Aluminum, eventually retiring from Shaklee. Ron enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with his family and friends. In his late 50's he was diagnosised with Alzheimers and moved back to northern Michigan to be with his daughter and her family. He resided the last 10 years at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility where he received excellent care and became part of their family. He is survived by his children Anne (Jim) Walsh of Bellaire, Jane Rule of Flushing, grandchildren Mary and Hunter Walsh and Catherine Rule, in-laws Alfred and Barbara Campbell. He was preceded in death by his wife Claire Rule, and parents Marion and Thomas Rule. The family will receive friends Wed. June 6, 2012, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.
