Ronald "Ron" Finch Jr.

Ronald Lee Finch Jr., 61, of Mancelona, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital with his loving family at his side. He was born on May 17, 1963, in Hastings, MI, the son of Ronald Sr. and Linda (Miller) Finch.

Ron was a skilled craftsman often working with wood to create beautiful bowls, boxes, and many other items. He also loved to ride his motorcycle all around Northern Michigan taking in all of its’ natural beauty. He enjoyed camping and spending time outdoors watching animals of all kinds as well. His family was most important to him and he cherished any time he was able to spend with them. He worked as a machinist at Lamina in Bellaire and was a dedicated member of the Mancelona Baptist Church for the last 15 years.

On August 1, 1994, in Bellaire, Ron married the love of his life, Sandy Finch, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Jesse Meininger and Sarah (Brian) McKee; five brothers, Dwayne Finch, Tom Finch (Marie), Kevin Finch (Bonnie), Tim Finch, and Jeremie Finch; and two sisters, Alyce Alma (Greg), and Jennifer Caverly (Jacob).

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Daniel Finch.

A funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025 at the Mancelona Baptist Church, 609 Jefferson St., Mancelona, MI 49659. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at noon, also at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mancelona Baptist Church, 609 Jefferson St., Mancelona, MI 49659.
