Roger Schepperly

Roger "Buck" Schepperly, 77, lifelong resident of Mancelona, died Wed. June 12, 2013 at Munson Medical Center. He was born July 26, 1935 in Mancelona the son of Paul and Beatrice (Brewer) Schepperly. Buck was self employed most of his life and also worked several years for Flannery Machine. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, where he married the love of his life Catherine Garlick. Buck was a true family man and loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed wood working, fishing and gardening. Surviving Buck is his wife Kate of 58 years, his children Kathy (Steven ) Norman of Gaylord, Mary Jane Schepperly, Thomas (Deb) Schepperly, Mark Lee Schepperly all of Traverse City, grandchildren Nicholas (Jamey) Norman, Rachel Norman, Ben Jones, TJ and Joey Schepperly, great granddaughter Evelynn Rose Norman, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. Graveside services will be held Wed. June 19 at 11am in St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to Munson Medical Center or ALS.
