Roger Evans

ROGER W. EVANS, 46, of Sterling Heights, formerly of Bellaire, died on December 30, 2010 at Munson Medical Center. Roger was born on May 28, 1964 in Bellaire, the son of Wayne and Lois (Drogt) Evans. Roger was raised in Bellaire and graduated from Bellaire High School as Salutatorian in 1982. He went to Michigan Tech where he graduated in 1988, Magna Cum Laude. He was employed by TACOM "Warren Tank Plant" for the past 21 years and was a member of the Skymasters Radio Control Club of Michigan where he enjoyed remote control planes and flying at the Ultimate Soccer Arena. He was also a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics. He is survived by his mother Lois Evans of Bellaire, a brother Gerrit (Janice) Taylor of Elk Rapids, two sisters, Oleta Dawson of Kewadin, Marjorie Drogt Evans of Bellaire, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Wayne Evans and a sister Rhonda England. Memorial services will take place on Sat., Jan. 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Carl Litchfield officiating.
