Roger Birdsall

Roger Duane Birdsall, 78, of Mancelona, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.  He was born on May 9, 1943, in Mio, MI, the son of Dort and Marceline (Horton) Birdsall.

Roger was self employed as a painter for many years in Michigan and in Florida.  He enjoyed fishing (and eating fish), sitting in his man cave smoking his pipe, and watching Westerns, particularly John Wayne.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Laurel Birdsall; six children, Janice (Mitch) Smith of Alpena, Shana Rappel of Mio, Roger Birdsall Jr. of Mancelona, Alisha Birdsall of FL, Lisa Birdsall of FL, and Christopher Birdsall of FL; a stepdaughter, Kristina (Dale) Lauback of Grayling; a brother, Dennis Birdsall; two sisters, Ann Koli and Connie Peterson; and many grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
