Robin Knowles

Robin M. Knowles, 51, of Mancelona, died on April 20, 2012 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. Robin was born on November 17, 1960, in Flint. Robin was a Mancelona resident for the past 15 years and was employed at the Mancelona Marathon Gas Station as well as the B.P. Gas station in downtown Mancelona. She was an avid Kid Rock fan and enjoyed spending time with her children and was known as a very kind giving person. On November 17, 1981, in Port Huron, she married John Knowles who survives. Also surviving are 5 children, John Anthony Knowles II, Angel Alicia Knowles, Kytrina Knowles, Tyler Knowles, Destiny Knowles all of Mancelona, a brother Tom Banks, a sister Katherine Thornsburg and 1 great-grandson John Anthony Knowles III. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 24 at 4:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Pastor Ross Corne will officiate. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
